Educational Talent Search is funded by a federal grant that helps young people in grades six through twelve plan for and, eventually, enroll in college.  Educational Talent Search counselors select and work with students early enough to help create an environment in which students recognize their ability to shape and mold the future.  As students progress toward graduation, they are led to explore local and statewide post-secondary programs and various job opportunities.

Services offered to Middle School Students:

• Cultural activities
• Decision-making and self-esteem skill building 
• Time management
• Assistance in planning high school courses
• Career exploration

Services offered to High School Students:

• Family planning for college
• College visits
• Assistance in college admission and financial aid application processes
• Waiver of fees for college preparatory courses and entrance examinations
