What We Teach

Research is at the heart of our program. Scholars participate in a summer research internship under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Upon completion of this summer research project, students present their results at state and national conferences.

Research Methodology Preparation | Scholars are immersed in research methodology through a combination of selected readings, academic coursework and interaction with faculty members.

Graduate School Preparation | Scholars receive assistance in applying to graduate schools, preparing for graduate school exams, and obtaining information about financing graduate programs through fellowships, teaching and research assistantships.

Research Internship | Under the tutelage of faculty mentors, students embark on a summer research experience. The internship culminates with scholars presenting their research at national conferences, as well as within the ACU community.

Skill-building Seminars | Throughout both fall and spring semesters, scholars are provided opportunities to learn about and implement skills and concepts that will help equip then for success both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. These seminars also provide a setting in which community is developed through peer interaction.
