To provide enriching scholastic experiences that prepare eligible scholars for doctoral education. To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have strong interest in graduate school
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Be the first one in his or her family to go to college and have an income level as established by the U.S. Department of Education or be a member of a group that is traditionally under-represented in graduate school.
Our Services |
- Skill-building seminars designed to enhance student's learning abilities and to insure success in graduate school.
- Research methodology preparation that introduces students to the techniques utilized in major research programs.
- Research internship during the summer (30 hours per week, 10 weeks, with a $2,800 stipend) under the tutelage of faculty mentors. Upon conclusion of their internships, students make formal presentations of their research to faculty and peers.
- Preparation for graduate school admission such as applying to specific graduate programs, preparing for the GRE, and obtaining information on financial assistance.
