The program offers a variety of liberal arts courses in the fall and spring semesters. Every student must enroll in 16 credit hours including at least 3 hours of Spanish.
A little about Uruguay...
Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, is a city of nearly 1.5 million people and offers a safe environment with relatively low crime rates and an efficient public transportation system.
Casa ACU is located three blocks from the major international bus station Tres Cruces, which provides inexpensive transportation to major metropolitan areas throughout South America.
As part of the program, you will visit the world renowned Iguazú Falls in Brazil and spend time in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
You will also experience Montevideo's rich cultural heritage, which includes a newly renovated performing arts center for opera, symphonies, theater and numerous museums.
Accommodations
You will live in Casa ACU, a villa-like structure adjacent to the El Chána Church of Christ building. Casa ACU includes dorm-style rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, study/computer room, exercise room and two faculty apartments. Wireless internet is available throughout Casa ACU.
