ACU in Latin America

Studying abroad in Uruguay will challenge you to experience a unique blend of European and South American cultures.

While in Latin America you will:

  • Deepen your faith as you reach out to the community in service-learning opportunities.
  • Greatly improve your Spanish language skills through cultural experiences.
  • Build life-long relationships with other students and faculty.
  • Travel and experience the beauty of several Latin American cultures.
  • And so much more!

The program offers a variety of liberal arts courses in the fall and spring semesters. Every student must enroll in 15 credit hours including at least 3 hours of Spanish.

You will also experience Montevideo's rich cultural heritage, which includes a newly renovated performing arts center for opera, symphonies, theater and numerous museums.

You will live in Casa ACU, a villa-like structure adjacent to the El Chána Church of Christ building. Casa ACU includes dorm-style rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, study/computer room, exercise room and two faculty apartments. Wireless internet is available throughout Casa ACU.
