The Student Success program was designed to help students make a smooth transition from high school to college.  Many students find this transition difficult and are unsure of their ability to handle the rigorous academic requirements of university level course work.

UNIV 011 Developmental Study Skills is a course which has proven its effectiveness in helping students bolster their GPA.  The intent of the class is to instill good planning and study skills.

The class includes:

• Daily use of an academic organizational planner
• Application of study skills to course work
• Regular use of creative memory techniques
• Regular meetings with Student Success advisors/counselors
• Regular progress reports
• Building on the positive student/professor relationships
