Scott McBain ('03), business analyst and developer for BlueCross/BlueShield of Texas, manages multiple tasks each day. He works with Siebel, A CRM (customer relationship management) application, while compiling CRM updates, gathering business process rules, documenting process flows and coordinating different CRM releases.

At ACU, McBain learned how to communicate with business professionals as well as how the business world functions. "The IT world is fast-changing and competitive, but you also have to be able to work with a team," says McBain. "It's important to learn how not only the IT field functions but also business practices as a whole."

He gives ACU credit for preparing him for the workplace. "I feel I use 100 percent of what I learned at ACU every day, especially the ethical and spiritual principles," says McBain. "Hopefully, prospective students are going to ACU to receive a Christian education; however, when they choose ACU's iSchool, the added benefit is they will be prepared for life in the high-tech world."
