Undergraduate Majors
Degrees that Open Doors
Abilene Christian University's School of Information Technology and Computing degrees will open doors for you to the world of information science. While some information schools offer a narrow selection of degrees in this field, we offer three different degree options that cover the entire information and computer technology spectrum. You have the power to choose your career path based on the type of information science you enjoy.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science (CS) – a traditional degree that prepares you for careers in scientific computing or software engineering, or that gives you the training you need to go on to graduate school.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology (IT) – a flexible degree that allows you to focus on creating and maintaining technology infrastructures (e.g., networks, databases, security) in a variety of settings and disciplines. You may also select an approved co-major (other than a business field) as part of your program.
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Information Systems (IS) – a cooperative degree with the College of Business Administration that allows you to specialize in the development/deployment of information systems in businesses and corporations, or provides you the flexibility to focus on either business intelligence or technology management.
