Tech Job Losses Not As Bad As Other Sectors

The technology industry has been more resilient than the larger U.S. economy, according to a report released Tuesday.

TechAmerica's 12th annual Cyberstates report showed a 0.6% sequential dip in fourth-quarter 2008 technology employment, compared with a decline of 1.3% in all private sector jobs.

Google "App to School" Bus Stops at ACU

ACU was the third stop on the Google "App to School" Bus national tour in September 2008, joining universities like Vanderbilt, USC, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Indiana, George Washington, and Virginia as campuses that have implemented Google Apps for Education. The bus tour gave Google representatives the opportunity to show students and faculty how to better use their technology. In 2007, ACU was named to the first Customer Advisory Board for Google Apps, a group of representatives from only six universities.
