 Heart of the Matter

 "Where there is no vision, the people perish:  but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."  Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

The trust of a teacher is to follow the way of Christ.  By this walk, others come to know Christ and follow His way.  Those in the world said of Jesus "Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.  You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are" (Matthew 22:16, NIV).  The Heart of the Matter for a teacher is to show integrity, teach the truth, and be guided by the mind of God, not men.  In a world of many voices and varying perspectives, students need a vision that will lead them down the path of life--a path which leads to Jesus.

"If people can't see what God is doing,
they stumble all over themselves;
But when they attend to what he reveals,
they are most blessed."
(ibid, The Message)
