Experience That Gives You an Edge

Nothing beats hands-on experience for building your confidence and your future employer's confidence. We offer many opportunities for involvement, including internships, part-time employment, student clubs and organizations, and access to industry professionals. You'll develop the skills you need to step into a high-tech job market.

What About the Job Market?

High-tech jobs are in demand. In general, there are two major career tracks: technical and management.

  • Technical - if you really like putting things together - for example, hardware, software, networks, or databases - or if you are more mathematically inclined than most, you'd probably be most comfortable pursuing a technical career path, choosing to specialize in some area of interest.
  • Management - if you're more into planning, strategizing, implementing, and administering, a management track is probably better for you.  Individuals on this career path have a good concept of how technology is organized and deployed, and their responsibilities often involve planning, managing, and securing the resources necessary to complete projects.
