Organizational Structure

The School of Information Technology and Computing (SITC) is the focal point at Abilene Christian University for educational programs in computer science, information systems, and information technology. To promote organizational efficiency, SITC currently reports to the Dean of the College of Business Administration and is housed in the Mabee Business Building. Programs from the traditional disciplines of computer science and business information systems, along with broader field of information technology, are integrated within this single unit. The faculty includes individuals with expertise in computer science, management information systems, business intelligence and analytics, technology management, systems administration, networking, and other areas. Some faculty hold joint appointments or special assignments in SITC and other colleges or departments, such as the College of Business Administration. In addition, SITC has a strong working relationship with the University’s own Information Technology staff and with the Adams Center for Teaching and Learning.
