ACU Nursing Pre-requisite Core Curriculum

Courses Prior to Entering the School of Nursing

Completion of 60 hours with a 3.0 GPA (the courses below comprise these hours) Certified Nursing Assistant CNA (in some states may be PCT)- This can be taken at a community college, nursing home and in some states at a hospital.

General Ed 2 hours from anything on the University Requirement pages

Elective 3 hours from anything in the catalog (Medical Terminology recommended)

Physical Education

PEAC 2 additional hours but must be activity courses

Communication (Speech) COMS 211

Foreign Language or Cultural Awareness –3 hours from University Requirements (Must have 2 years of Foreign Language in High School, otherwise 6 hours are required)

CCNE Third-Party Comments

 

CCNE policy requires that institutions provide an opportunity for the program’s identified communities of interest (e.g., students, alumni, faculty, employers, etc.) to provide written input into the deliberations of the evaluation team. As your program is scheduled for an on-site evaluation by CCNE, you must notify your communities of interest approximately three months before the evaluation that an accreditation review is scheduled and indicate that written and signed third-party comments will be accepted by CCNE until October 6, 2014. The announcement must include CCNE's name and mailing address, and ask that all comments be directed to:
