Student Opportunities

You will have the opportunity to go inside the real world of healthcare management and medicine through out nursing program. You might observe surgeries and examinations, attend daily rounds in hospital or clinics, and interact with doctors, nurses and their patients.

Medical missions

In ACU's School of Nursing, your experience can include medical mission trips throughout the world. You will have the opportunity to put your faith and learning into action, seeing firsthand the difference you can make.

State-of-the-art simulation lab

ACU's nursing simulation lab provides a safe and supervised environment in which you will learn how to assess, treat and respond to medical conditions and patient emergencies. Using state-of-the-art computer equipment and advanced-technology mannequins, you will encounter a variety of serious health conditions to prepare you for real-life clinical situations.

Focus on research

As a nursing student, you may also serve as research assistants to nursing faculty or conduct faculty-guided research as part of ACU's Pursuit program. Undergraduate research opportunities are an integral part of the student experience at Abilene Christian University.
