  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) - - The professional, scientific, and credentialing association for more than 120,000 members and affiliates who are audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists.

  • National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) - - One of the Institutes that comprises the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Established in 1988, NIDCD is mandated to conduct and support biomedical and behavioral research and research training in the normal and disordered processes of hearing, balance, smell, taste, voice, speech, and language.

  • National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) - - Pre-professional membership association for students interested in the study of communication sciences and disorders. Thanks to a donation from an alumnus, the Special Collections at ACU's Center for Restoration Studies now houses two Ethiopian religious texts dating back to the turn of the 19th century.
