[MS 2] John Allen Gano

SUMMARY:  A rich picture of life during the Civil War in the country around Georgetown in north central Kentucky.  Graphically presented through the day-to-day details of a lawyer-preacher-farmer's journal.  All the joys and frustrations of preaching and farming, before and during the Reconstruction Period.
