Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Spanish for Teacher Certification
This degree offers language and education studies that fully prepare students to teach Spanish in elementary, middle, or high school. Combining the Language and Literature department's rigorous training for Spanish fluency with hands-on teacher preparation through the ACU Department of Teacher Education, this program equips students to be exceptional Spanish-speakers and teachers. Graduates are prepared to take the TeXeS state teacher certification exams for EC-12 Spanish. Students may choose to complete their student teaching in Montevideo, Uruguay, as a Study Abroad experience. ACU graduates have consistently passed the required state exams for content and language proficiency at rates in the 90th percentile.
