The Dialektos MethodologyThe Dialektos Methodology is based on the Directed Independent Language Learning Method, which is different from a regular language class. The teacher-student relationship as well as the "classroom" environment work very differently. New, more autonomous learning strategies are required, which frees you, the language learner, to tailor the learning experience to fit your needs, but also places greater responsibility on you for setting your own language-learning goals.
Who teaches the class?
Instruction comes from three sources: the Supervising Professor, the Language Coordinator and the Conversation Partner.
Where does language learning take place?
The learning process starts in the Lab, but really takes place on your own and in the Pod.
What is expected of the language learner?
The Dialektos Language Learner needs to be self-disciplined, a team-worker, and goal-oriented.
