How does the Honors College support Study Abroad?
Honors Credit - You don't need to fall behind on honors credits while you're abroad. Earn up to 6 hours through honors course contracts. Ask the Honors College staff about the possibilities.
We also offer a variety of opportunities (some for credit, some not) for Honors College students studying in Oxford or Montevideo, ranging from a colloquium on C.S. Lewis to special luncheons with US ambassadors, foreign diplomats, or resident artists. Each of these opportunities offers you a unique honors-quality experience not found in Abilene. Visit our Study Abroad photo gallery to see pictures from recent Honors Study Abroad Events.
Travel Grants - The Honors College offers a limited number of travel grants for students to pursue honors work while they are abroad. Grants can be up to $1000, depending on the number of applicants. To apply, you must fill out an application the semester before you study abroad, and agree to share your experiences (and a few pictures) with us during the semester after your return. For more information, contact kelsey.evans@acu.edu.
