Research Opportunities
While at ACU, Honors students have many opportunities to participate in research, both on-campus and through other venues. Opportunities especially provided by the Honors College include:
- Undergraduate Research Festival
This annual university-wide event, held on-campus each April, features presentations from ACU students and faculty of all disciplines. *Proposals for 2010 Undergrad Research Festival must be received by Feb 15, 2010!
- Research Assistant Grants
Honors students are eligible to apply for Research Assistant Grants to do research during the long semester with a professor in their department or field.
- Funding for Conference Presentations
Honors students receive funding to help pay for expenses if traveling to a conference to present their research.
- Honors Capstone Project
Every student who graduates with University Honors completes a Capstone Project, an individual research project in a student's major, supervised by a committee of professors. To learn more, see our Requirements and also our list of previous Capstones completed.
