How does the Honors Program support Study Abroad?
Honors Credit - You don't need to fall behind on honors credits while you're abroad. Earn up to 6 hours through honors course contracts. Ask the Honors Program staff about the possibilities. You'll take advantage of being on-site in Oxford or Montevideo, doing honors work you could never do in Abilene.
Travel Grants - The Honors Program offers a limited number of travel grants for students to pursue honors work while they are abroad. Grants usually run $200-$300, depending on budget and the number of applicants. During a long semester, recipients complete two honors contracts. In summer or short sessions, one honors contract. A check will be deposited to the student's account after the professor has notified us of the completed contract.
