COMPONENT 1--ARRANGING THE INTERVIEW (release due )
The signed release will be evaluated based on the following
criteria:
- Release form is written in a proper format
- The release is properly signed and dated
COMPONENT 2--THE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS (questions due )
The questionnaire and list of tentative questions will be evaluated
on the following criteria:
- The questionnaire format is complete and correct
- The questions are open-ended and appropriate
COMPONENT 3--SETTING UP THE LOCATION AND CONDUCTING THE
INTERVIEW (Interview completed by )
The interview will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Proper procedures were followed
- Interviewer was polite and courteous
- The length of time was sufficient
COMPONENT 4--PROCESSING THE TAPES (Tapes due )
The processed tapes will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- cassette tabs are punched out
- the tape is properly labeled
- (optional) the tape is duplicated
COMPONENT 5--THE COMPOSITION (Paper )
The composition will be evaluated on the following criteria:
Mechanics
- Writing is clear with accurate use spelling and grammar.
- A proper introduction, body, and conclusion is evident, with
ideas flowing in a coherent order throughout the body.
- The number of pages is sufficient to cover the information
gathered in the interview.
Content
- Introduction gives all the proper information
- A majority of the interview's content is incorporated
- Conclusion neatly and creatively sums up the content of the
interview
- All information is accurate, with none of the interviewee's
statements taken out of context
GRADING SYSTEM:
The criteria listed above will be scored on this scale. (25
possible points will given for the completion of the project)
- 5 points=Meets all expectations and shows extra effort or
creative thought
- 4 points=Meets all expectations
- 3 points=Does not meet all expectations, but can improve with
some changes
- 2 points=Does not meet all expectations, and major revision
is needed for improvement
- 0 points=Not completed or included
Teacher comments will be given scoring 2, 3, or 5.
