For the last three years David Fleer has served as advisory board chair for the Christian Scholars' Conference, which is currently hosted at Lipscomb University. Under Fleer's direction, Lipscomb is hosting a five year series, "Reclaiming the Imagination: Paradigmatic Narratives for Preaching." Fleer's teaching focus is homiletics and during his Rochester tenure he created and directed the Sermon Seminar which annually drew attendees from more than 30 states and provinces and 20 Christian fellowships.
From 1995 to 2007, Fleer was Professor of Religion and Communication at Rochester College, named Teacher of the Year (1996-1997) and Most Influential Professor (2003-2004) by his peers and students. He preaches and teaches in congregations in Michigan and Tennessee and across the country.
He is adjunct Professor for the D.Min. program at ACU and teaches in a similar program at Harding Graduate School of Religion.
