CHRIST-CENTERED LEADERSHIP

Preparing students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world is the mission of Abilene Christian University.  There is no better example of servant leadership than the life of Jesus. Leadership is defined in a variety of ways, depending on a person's experience and perspective.  One thing is certain, however--leadership develops from a person's unique talents as gifted by God.  The purpose of this learning community is to challenge one another to explore God's distinctive purpose for each of us.  As we do this, we come to a fuller understanding of our identity as persons created in the image of God.  We have been individually made with certain talents and gifts, and we are called by God to use these gifts as strengths in our lives as workers, family members, and faithful followers of Christ's mission.

Students will be encouraged to encounter the authentic Jesus as He is uniquely presented in each of the four Gospels. This Learning Community will discover Jesus by carefully studying His life and teaching, communicating Biblical principles about Him and challenging one another to discipleship and ministry that reflect the true nature of Jesus in our particular settings.  Students will also discover how to enhance their oral communication of the authentic Jesus.
