2009 Freshman Common Reading Events

• May 2009 - Freshman Common reading book provided for faculty who request a copy

• June 29 (June Passport) - Freshman Common Reading book provided for freshmen.  August attendees have the option of having the book mailed to them prior to the August Passport. Email fyp@acu.edu to request a copy.

• August 1 - All readers are invited to participate on a collaborative web site related to ideas from the book as well as a discussion blog.  The URL is: http://acuoffthepage.wik.is/            

• August 19, 20 (Welcome Week) - Freshman Common Reading discussion groups

   

• September 11 – FCR Creative Contest entries due at 3:00 p.m. to First-Year Program Office, ADM 309 or electronically to fyp@acu.edu

• September 23

  • 12:00 p.m.- Faculty discussion with Donald Miller in the Adams Center

  • 3:00 p.m. Summit presentation in Moody Coliseum

  • 4:00 p.m. Q&A/Book signing event in McCaleb Conference Center. Creative contest winners announced.
