Distinguished Speaker Series

John AdenJohn Aden, the President of MAC Tools spoke at Abilene Christian University April 10th, 2007 at noon, in the Hilton Room of the Campus CenterAden is part of ACU’s Distinguished Speaker Series, hosted by the College of Business Administration.  The series is designed to bring national business leaders of integrity to Abilene to share their keys to success and how they have integrated faith and Biblical principles at work.

"John is a dynamic speaker who recently spoke at the National Prayer breakfast in Washington DC.  He was supposed to share the stage with Rick Warren, the bestselling author of The Purpose Driven Life.  Due to an emergency, Rick was unable to make the event.  Unable to find a replacement, John got twice the allotted time to speak.  None of the guests were disappointed when he was finished," said Michael Winegeart, assistant professor of management sciences and director of collaborative learning.  "John will challenge everyone to walk in their faith at work.  His speech is titled:  A Different Kind of Leader."

Since joining MAC Tools in June 2000, Aden's leadership has made a positive impact on the company.  He established New Fundamentals, which have aligned the company behind growth, customer service, and operational discipline to make MAC Tools a dominant force in the mobile tool industry.

In 2002, 265 new distributors invested to become part of the MAC Tools family.  Aden has placed such an emphasis on recruiting that for the first time in company history, MAC Tools ran a television commercial that asked viewers to join the winning team and a full-page color print ad in USA Today.

Aden has led the charge to increase brand awareness and media exposure by leveraging Mac Tools sponsorships in motorsports.  MAC Tools backs championship teams in NASCAR, NHRA, Supercross, and the World of Outlaws.  MAC Tools sponsors the NHRA Gatornationals and Thunder Valley NHRA Nationals, and Aden was instrumental in securing the title rights for the biggest event of the season, the U.S. Nationals.
