Curtis Clements joins COBA faculty Fall 2005

Dr. Curtis Clements joins Abilene Christian University’s College of Business Administration faculty this fall as an assistant professor in the Accounting and Finance Department.  Dr. Clements will teach several Managerial Accounting courses along with a MAcc class for the College of Business.

Clements earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from Texas A & M University.  He also holds an MS from Harding University.  Prior to entering the teaching field, Dr. Clements worked as an auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co. before joining the faculty of Harding University.  Curtis taught for six years at Baylor University and has most recently served as an assistant professor at Pittsburg State University. 

His current research projects include:

  • "Further Evidence on the Effects of Using Multimedia Annual Reports".  Currently under revision for resubmission to Advances in Accounting Behavioral Research.  (with C. Wolfe)

  • "An Analysis of the Information Content of Early Filing of CEO Statements".  Currently under revision for resubmission to Journal of Accounting & Public Policy. (with B.R. Wilkinson)

  • "Further Analysis of Non-Audit Fees as a Predictor of Audit Failure".  Currently in the data gathering stages.  (with B.R. Wilkinson)

  • "Educator Tax Deduction:  Some Educators are More Equal Than Others".  Finalizing for submission.  (with B.R. Wilkinson)

Curtis Clements joins the College of Business family with his wife Pam and their two children Kimberly and Aaron.
