To receive a B.B.A. degree in accounting a student will need to complete 128 hours of credit.  To see the specific classes, please see the catalog (select the link below).  Or you may view the accounting degree plan (select the link below) for further detail of the break out of classes you will take each year.  You will be able to demonstrate excellence in the following degree objectives upon completion of your requirements:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental aspects of interpreting, recording and summarizing business transactions.

  • Demonstrate an ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.

  • Demonstrate an ability to interpret and use accounting information for managerial decision-making.

  • Demonstrate the fundamental aspects of federal income taxation for individuals and corporations.

  • Understand the legal infrastructure under which organizations operate and the legal responsibilities related to the practice of public accounting.

  • Understand the nature of the audit report and understand the fundamental elements of the audit process.

  • Demonstrate competency in oral and written communication.

  • Demonstrate competency in appropriate technology applications in accounting.
