Georgia Southern University majoring in sports management
Please list some of your career goals.My career goals are to work in the administrative side of college athletics, working my way up to Athletic Director.
Give your best experience(s) you had with experiential learning programs in COBA. (i.e. Leadership Summit, Distinguished Speakers series, STAR Fund, etc.)The distinguished speakers were great. They let you get an insiders look at the industry and opened your eyes to different areas of business. It also showed the Christian leadership that is already out there in the business world, and enlighten you on different ways you, yourself could implement your beliefs in the business world.
Who are your favorite COBA faculty and why?
Dr. Ed Timmerman. I loved his sense of humor and he challenged you to do your best. He taught some of my toughest classes. I did not appreciate all that he did while I was in his classes, but the projects that we were assigned to do are so real life and I am still proud of many of the things I accomplished in my two upper marketing classes. With the knowledge that I gained from his classes, I am a step ahead of many of my current classmates.
How has your COBA experience prepared you to meet your career goals?ACU has prepared me tremendously. I am so much more prepared for my graduate classes than many of my classmates. Many of my current professors are so impressed when I mention that I did this or that in my undergraduate program. I can see now how much different and innovative the business school at ACU truly is.
