Middle School (Grades 4-8)


middle schoolMiddle school is a time of transition. As a middle school teacher, you will help these "in-between" students begin to discover who they are in a safe place, while preparing them for academic and emotional success in high school.

The middle school teaching program prepares you to teach one of four subjects in grades 4 to 8:

•    Language Arts 
•    Mathematics 
•    Science
•    Social Studies

Supplemental Certificates in Education

Students interested in Special Education can certify in all levels (age 3 through grade 12), or a special education supplement can be added to any other certification. The ESL (English as a Second Language) supplement can be added to all middle school, high school and all-level certifications. See sample degree plans below.
