Accreditation & Memberships
The Abilene Christian University Teacher Education Program, which is designed to prepare exemplary, committed educators for service in diverse and multicultural communities for the glory of God, is granted initial accreditation by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) from 2012-2017. This accreditation certifies that the forenamed professional education program has provided evidence that the program adheres to TEAC’s quality principles.
In 2011, ACU's accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) was reaffirmed during an annual meeting. The university will retain this accreditation until 2021, when the reaccreditation process begins again.
