Why I'm at ACU
When I first spent time on the campus as a 15 year old Kadesh camper, I could imagine myself walking through the Campus Center for a break in between classes and for

lunch in the Bean. Even in my imagination, it just seemed right, and it has proven to be so.
Why I'm a social work major
I originally wanted to be a counselor. When I heard about the broad scope of the social work profession, I realized that this department could broaden my knowledge base to include a large range of helping skills that would open numerous career options.
On small class sizes
The small group size is very conducive to cooperative learning, and it has enhanced my ability to process the information.
On the department
I think that the leaders of the department have a great vision for
the future of the program and they are taking practical steps to lead the students and
faculty into their new vision.
On my professors
My professors are very approachable and they have practical experience that enhances their knowledge of the field. They are accessible and interested in me not only as a
student, but also as a person.
