We all have a special obligation to the poor and vulnerable of the
earth. Fair Trade certification guarantees that farmers and workers
receive fair prices. |
Most small coffee farmers, for example, make about 4-8¢ per $2 cup (retail). Thousands have lost their farms or jobs, many are homeless and suffering from malnutrition and some have died of starvation.
How do I know if it's fair trade? There are so many fair trade labels, so how do I know what to look for?
