The West Central Texas Workforce Development Board is presenting seven Friend of Workforce Awards Feb. 2 at the Workforce Center.
Recipients will be Stan Lambert with Citibank; Richard Burdine with the city of Abilene; Ross Jones, attorney; the TSTC Sweetwater Telecommunications Department; Abilene Mayor Norm Archibald; Gene Deason with the Brownwood Bulletin; and Bill Culp with the Nonprofit Management Center.
The awards are given twice a year to individuals and organizations who have supported the efforts of the West Central Texas Workforce Center System.
“This award is one way that we can say thank you to those who partner with us, who promote our services, and who make our jobs easier,” said Mary Ross, workforce board executive director.
