In January, ACU chose to sell exclusively Fair Trade certified coffee at its coffee stands and kiosks which serve Starbucks and Java City coffee. Now, University Purchasing is excited to announce the introduction of Fair Trade coffee to the Purchasing Warehouse through which offices and departments campus-wide purchase coffee. The coffee is certified organic by the Texas Department of Agriculture and is now available to all ACU employees.
We salute this humanitarian decision and encourage everyone to look into Fair Trade for themselves. On behalf of the children of coffee growers worldwide who will go to bed full rather than hungry, we thank you.
