Karen Clemmer recognized for work with children

Our very own Karen Clemmer (MSSW class of 2009) receives Volunteer Leadership Award from Champion for Children

Karen Clemmer is an amazing champion for children and families. She has worked tirelessly for several years advocating for children with disabilities and their families, assisting them in allocating the resources they need in school, medical and home settings. Though she currently does not work directly with children and families, she often volunteers her time to attend ARDs, lead support groups for families who have children with special needs and is always available for those seeking advice or a shoulder to lean on. Her strong support and advocacy has drastically improved the lives of children and families throughout the Big Country. Karen continues to be a strong advocate for children in Taylor and surrounding counties and will carry on in this task for many years to come.
