Careers in CSD

Students completing the BS program in CSD can work in the following settings:

• Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in public schools (requires state licensure)

• Activities director in a long-term care center or assisted living center

• Child development centers

• Senior citizen recreation programming

• Teacher’s aide in special education classrooms

• Any job where a college degree is required

Students completing the MS program in SLP can work in the following settings:

• Schools (public or private)

• Hospitals (acute and rehab areas)

• Out-patient clinics

• Home health

• Early childhood intervention programs
• Part-time or full-time hours
• Pediatrics or adults (or both)
