The clinical faculty of the department are clinicians and supervisors, certified by American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (A.A.M.F.T.) and licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists. Most also hold another license in either psychology or professional counseling. |

She is a proponent of Narrative Therapy as well as other constructivist models of family therapy. Jackie has interests in spiritual formation and enjoys working with churches and ministerial issues.
Waymon Hinson, Ph.D., Professor; B.A., Lubbock Christian University, 1972; M.Th., Harding Graduate School of Religion, 1976; Ph.D., University of Mississippi, 1982.
His interests include social justice, addictions, integration of psychology and theology, model-based treatment outcomes, and regulatory board issues.
Jaime Goff, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, B.A. & B.S., Ohio Valley College, 1995; M.M.F.T., Abilene Christian University, 2001; Ph.D., Michigan State University, 2004.
Her interests include sex therapy, transgenerational therapy, marital therapy, diverse families, and supervision and training issues in MFT.

His interests include cognitive-behavioral family therapy and intimacy issues.

Her interests include addictions, mood disorders, gender issues, and biopsychosocial applications to family systems theory.

His interests include solution-focused therapy and identity development.

Cara also serves as a counselor in the ACU counseling center. She is a clinical member and supervisor candidate in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She specializes in family and relationship issues, cross-cultural counseling, and care of missionaries.
Deon Botha, M.MFT, Adjunct Faculty; M.MFT Abilene Christian University, 2003. Deon also serves as the Manager of ACU's Office of Career and Academic Development's Counseling Programs.
Staff

Dionne McCorquodale
Dionne is the Administrative Coordinator for the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy. She manages all academic tasks including applications, interview dates, budgetary concerns and accreditation materials. She has been with the department since 1998.

Sandy Smith
Sandy is the Administraive Coordinator for the Marriage and Family Institute (aka the Clinic). She manages the reception area, assigns intakes, administrates the Certificate in Practice Management and coordinates first year students and their desk duty responsiblities. She began working with the Clinic in August 2007.
