Dr. Siburt is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

His consulting services to churches focus on the areas of Congregational Development Assessment, Elder Selection Process Coaching, Minister Transition and Search Consultation, Conflict Management Coaching and Intervention, Leadership Team Building Coaching, Minister Effectiveness Coaching, Church Leader Crisis Intervention, Training in Caring Ministry Skills, and Elder Care.

Before coming to ACU in 1988, Dr. Siburt ministered full-time with the Meadow-Lark Church of Christ (Fort Collins, CO), the University Avenue Church of Christ (Austin, TX), and the Glenwood Church of Christ (Tyler, TX).

Dr. Siburt also has many published works, including Like a Shepherd Lead Us: Guidance for the Gentle Art of Pastoring (co-edited with David Fleer) and Good Shepherds: More Guidance for the Gentle Art of Pastoring (co-edited with David Fleer).
