Education       

        Dr. McMichael earned his B.A. from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN in 1980.  He received his M.S. in Christian Education from Abilene Christian University in 1988 and his M.M.F.T. degreed from Abilene Christian University in 1989.  In 2006 Dr. McMichael completed his Ph.D. in Human Environmental Sciences from Oklahoma State University.          

        Dr. McMichael also has a great deal of experience as an educator at every level from Junior High to the Graduate level.  He has taught in the fields of Biblical Studies, Speech, Drama, Choir, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Youth and Family Ministry.  In addition to this, Dr. McMichael has spent a total of 17 years in formal ministry.  He is currently working as the Director of Graduate Student Services for the Graduate School of Theology.  Dr. McMichael also serves as the advisor to students in the Master of Arts in Christian Ministry program. 

        Dr. McMichael is married to Dr. Dana McMichael who is an assistant professor of English at Abilene Christian University.  He has two sons, David and Jonathan.
