Rachel Held Evans

Rachel Held Evans is an author, speaker, and blogger from Dayton, Tennessee—home of the famous Scopes Monkey Trial of 1925.

Her first book, an award-winning memoir entitled “Evolving in Monkey Town” (Zondervan 2010), explores the importance of cultivating a living, evolving faith in the midst of doubt. Her second book, to be released in 2012, is an experimental memoir that creatively investigates the concept of “biblical womanhood,” with Rachel attempting to live out the Bible’s commands for women as literally as possible for a year.

Rachel has been featured in the Washington Post, USA Today, and The Huffington Post. She blogs at RachelHeldEvans.com.
