Shane Claiborne

Shane is an author, Christian activist and speaker. With tears and laughter, he unveils the tragic messes we’ve made of our world and the tangible hope that another world is possible. Shane has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, CNN, Fox News, and National Public Radio. He graduated from Eastern University and did graduate work at Princeton Seminary. Shane’s ministry experience includes a 10-week assignment working with Mother Teresa, a year serving at Willow Creek Community Church, three weeks in Iraq during the bombing of Baghdad, and the last 12 years as a founding partner of The Simple Way, a community in inner-city Philadelphia. Shane speaks about peacemaking, social justice and Jesus, and has authored The Irresistible Revolution, Jesus for President and Becoming the Answer to Our Prayers.
