Describe a memorable event or image in an ACU play in which you have performed, directed, designed or crewed or one you've seen here.
In our homecoming musical Les Miserables, being able to go through the rehearsal process and watch all of the cast grow was such a journey. On our second night when we had a full house, the cast received three standing ovations. Knowing how far the cast had come, I was proud that our show had such a positive reaction from the audience.
How has faith impacted your journey as an artist?
I had never thought that faith in art could be accomplished. Then coming to ACU and being provided the classes from our department, it is so apparent that there will always be faith within the arts. In everything we do, whether it is to act, dance, sing, or direct, it is what God wants us to do. He loves theatre. He needs someone to do it.
What advice do you have for a prospective theatre major?
Don't be afraid to try anything and everything. You're not a one trick pony. Shine all of the different facets you have. They're what make you unique and that is why you do theatre!
Spend a semester in New York City, studying with Broadway professionals and Tony Award-winning instructors.
