Meet Jace Reinhard
| Name: Jace Reinhard
|
One image that will stick in my mind for a while I found while operating a follow spot for Eurydice. The moment when we first see the underworld and the stones start crawling toward the audience was wonderfully creepy! The beautiful combination of costumes, lighting, and sound with that awesome set gave me the chills.
How has faith impacted your journey as an artist?
The idea that I am not my own, but I was bought with a price (1 Cor. 6) has greatly affected my view of my craft. I don’t do theatre for its own sake or for my sake, but rather I am developing the talents given me by my Creator in order to reflect a part of Him. The more I am reminded of this, the greater my motivation to give my all to this art.
What advice do you have for a prospective theatre major?
My best advice to a prospective student would be to really take advantage and to soak up as much as possible during your first semester. There are an incredible amount of learning opportunities in the classroom and in performances right off the bat, so jump in with both feet.
