Preparing for the APCT starts in high school. While no specific classes are required, early planning can add to the ease of completion and enjoyment of the program. These recommendations are:
-
Spanish- The international internship has historically occurred in Montevideo, Uruguay, a Spanish speaking country.
-
College level courses- AP, CLEP, and dual credit classes are excellent ways of saving money and time. Students have entered the program with a number of hours, and have found opportunites to explore other fields of study, complete the program sooner, and engage in more upper division course work. However, the program is designed to allow even a student with no college credit hours to finish the undergraduate degree in three years.
