The Hall Chair has recently conducted research in the following areas:

1. The development and standardization of a "Mission Retention Scale"

2. The development of a "needs assessment" survey for Church of Christ missionaries

3. The development of instruments to assess cross-cultural adjustment and sensitivity in students participating in study abroad programs

4. The psychological profiling of successful missionaries and those planning to go into the mission field
