Testing the trebuchet (2000)

A group of students test their trebuchet.

The ACU physics department has approximately 50 majors.  Although we have more graduates per year than two-thirds of the nation’s physics programs, our department is still small enough to feel closely connected.  Through worshipping in devotionals, working in study groups, and relaxing in their spare time (ping-pong is a favorite departmental pasttime), new students quickly form lasting friendships that are valued long after physics equations have been forgotten.

There are many aspects to being a physics major at ACU. The Christian environment allows students to express their faith freely, and the post-graduate focus encourages students to do research, attend conferences, and work toward continuing their education even after they leave ACU.
