Paula Findley - Colorguard Instructor

Paula FindleyAfter graduating from Douglas MacArthur High School in San Antonio, TX in 1987 where she was a member of the Fall and Winter Color Guards, Paula Findley attended the University of North Texas. She was a performing member of the UNT Marching Band's Color Guard as well as UNiTy Winter Guard for 4 years. Upon graduating in 1992 from UNT as a Bachelor Of Arts and Sciences, she worked with various guards in the Metroplex area including WT White HS, Lewisville HS, and Marcus Flower Mound HS, as well as beginning her career as a Special Ed Teacher. After working as an Elementary Resource Teacher for Sanger Elementary in Sanger, TX for 2 years, she moved back to SanAngelo, TX where she spent most of her childhood years to be a Resource Reading Teacher for Robert Lee Junior High. In 1994, she began teaching the Color Guard at SanAngelo Central HS as well as becoming a member of the Color Guard Staff for the Angelo State Universtiy Band Camp. In the Fall of 1996 she moved to Abilene, TX to become a Special Ed. Resource Teacher at Abilene High and to take over the Abilene HS Color Guard.  That same Fall Season, she met her husband of 10 years, Scott Findley, Girl's Golf Coach at Cooper HS. After teaching Special Education at Abilene HS for 10 years, Paula is currently a "stay at home" mom of 2 beautiful girls, Addyson, age 3 1/2 and Bethany, age 1 1/2. Paula is still currently the Color Guard Director for Abilene High's Fall Color Guard and Winter Guard and is very excited about joining the ACU Band Staff as the Fall Color Guard Intstructor.
