Mark Wilcox joined Abilene Christian University as Instructor of Trumpet in 2007. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he directed the University Jazz Band for four years. Mr. Wilcox is in the process of completing his DMA in trumpet performance at the University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Wilcox has performed with notable artists and groups including Count Basie, Doc Severinson, Aretha Franklin, Mannheim Steamroller, Jerry Lewis, Diane Shuur, The Four Freshman, and Manhatten Transfer. In addition, he has played with the Dayton, Springfield, and Oklahoma City Orchestras.
