Percussion Ensemble

The Abilene Christian University Percussion Ensemble is an integral part of the ACU music department. Made up of both music majors and non-majors, the ensemble maintains an active and highly visible performing schedule through the school year. This outstanding group performs a wide variety of literature, ranging from standard works to brand-new compositions. The percussion department is also fortunate to have an outstanding inventory of percussion instruments from around the world, allowing the percussion ensemble to explore musical styles from West Africa, Cuba, Brazil, and Trinidad-Tobago (see Steel Grooves).
